The Guild prides itself on offering as much free programming as possible, including craft talks, open reads, and workshops.  However, our organization can only exist with the generosity of our donors and sustaining members.  By becoming a sustaining member, you are contributing to our general operating fund—the lifeblood of our organization.

Additionally, you also have the option to contribute to our targeted initiatives by sponsoring a writer-in-residence, a writer, or our many events.

sustaining Member Levels

Scribblers: For 5.00/month sustaining members, receive: a personalized thank you postcard from a published author, a chance to win an array of prizes in our annual raffles and giveaways, free access to Guild newsletter, and free access to Chippewa Valley Writers Guild Connect—a vibrant online community of writers.

Scribes: For 10.00/month sustaining members, receive: all of the above, including a waived submission fee for Barstow & Grand (upon request).

Wordsmiths: For 15.00/month sustaining members, receive: all  of the above and a waived application fee for our summer retreat (upon request). 

Practitioners: For 20.00/month sustaining members,  receive: all of the above and an two free tickets to a Sound & Stories event of your choice (upon request)

Patrons: For 25.00/month sustaining members, receive all of the above, a one-on-one hour-long  consultation with a local author or Barstow & Grand editor, and two free tickets to every Sound & Stories event and The Priory Celebratory Reading.

Sponsor a Writer-in-Residence ($1200.00): If you support a Writer-in-Residence, you will receive: complimentary VIP tickets to The Priory Writers’ Retreat Celebratory Reading (4 tickets), the opportunity to introduce your sponsored writer-in-residence at The Priory Writers’ Retreat Celebratory Reading, a personalized copy of your writer-in-residence’s most recent book, a complimentary issue of Barstow & Grand, a free application to The Priory Writers’ Retreat (upon request), a complimentary The Priory Writers’ Retreat field notebook, and free access to Guild newsletter
