Cheryl Klein presents, "Seventeen Revision Techniques"

How do editors diagnose what isn’t working in a manuscript, and how can you get out of your own brain and do the same for your work? And then, how can you implement those discoveries in the most efficient and practical ways possible? In this virtual talk, editor and writer Cheryl Klein will offer 17 proven techniques for going deep into your draft, getting a fresh look at it, and completing a great revision.

Cheryl Klein is the editorial director at Lee & Low Books, the nation's largest publisher devoted to books by and about underrepresented people. She is also the author of two adult books about writing -- most recently The Magic Words: Writing Great Books for Children and Young Adults -- and four picture books, most recently Hamsters Make Terrible Roommates, illustrated by Abhi Alwar. You can find her on the web at cherylklein.com and @chavelaque.
