In celebration of National Poetry Month and in collaboration with the Chippewa Valley Writer’s Guild, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Eau Claire is hosting a showcase of local poets: Lopamudra (Lopa) Basu, Debbie Campbell, Max Garland, Jessi Peterson, UWEC students Dawson Jollie and Carlee Shimek, among others. These poets will be sharing original poetry on the theme of “Awakening.” This long pandemic has caused many of us to reflect, make changes in our lives, and awaken to new paths or thoughts. Awakening can a be spiritual, emotional, and even a physical realization.
